April Update 04/09/2010

The past few weeks have been full of site visits to present the individualized work plans for each organization. We've really enjoyed seeing everyone and having the opportunity to see first-hand what you do. All work plan presentations are almost finished then it will be time to start delivering the technical assistance!

Yesterday, Dr. Bliss shared her wisdom on marketing for nonprofit organizations. 30 attendees were present to soak up the knowledge.

Next week, there will be a short networking opportunity for any of the BCS Awardees after the Organizational Communication training on Tuesday, April 13. The training will run from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and the networking session will follow from 4 p.m.-5 p.m.  The networking session is for Awardees only, but the training is open to anyone.

We hope you are taking advantage of this beautiful spring weather. The work is about to begin!

Yesterday 30 attendees learned about how to be an effective board member at the Board Development Training. It's also time for the BCS Team to begin visiting each site to present the work plans for training and technical assistance. We hope each organization is learning as much as we are from you on how to create more effective organizations. What a great thing we have going here; thank you for your involvement!
